They say that we are what we eat. Then why don’t let food inspire us when we approach a new project, especially when it comes to design. Here’s the recipe: take your favourite type of pasta, solve the mathematic equations of its shape and let it ispire you! My all time favourite is gnocchi, also known as:

αi,j := 1/40 · sin(j/130 · π)
βi,j:= | cos(j+13/26 · π) |
Πi,j := 0,2 · cos(1/40 · 1,3 · π) · sin (j/130 · π) · βi,j + αi,j · cos(1/40 · 1,3 · π)
Θi,j := 0,2 · cos(1/40 · 1,3 · π) · sin (j/130 · π) · βi,j + αi,j · cos(1/40 · 1,3 · π)
Κi,j := 1,5 · cos(j/130 · π)

ranges: i := 0,1 .. 40 j := 0,1 .. 30

All the pasta equations have been collected in one unique book Pasta by Design by George L. Legendre, published by Thames & Hudson.

Ready to eat&design? Buon appetito!
