Sonori-kaะ is a Bangkok-based music project that will cover the independent music scene gravitating around the Thai capital!! Armed of our camera and our passion for music we will tour the city to offer you every week new interviews, videos, and pictures … to culminate in the next months in the first Sonori-kaะ live event! Sonori-kaะ คือโปรเจ็คดนตรีที่จะครอบคลุมวงการดนตรีอินดี้ในมหานคร รวมไปถึง วงดนตรี, โปรดิวเซอร์, ค่ายเพลง, event organizers, คลับต่างๆ, ดีเจ, ร้านเพลง และอื่นๆอีกมากมาย
เมื่อมีกล้องถ่ายรูปอยู่ข้างๆและความหลงไหลในดนตรี พวกเราจะเดินทางทั่วกรุงเทพเพื่อเสาะหา บทสัมภาษณ์, วีดีโอและภาพถ่ายต่างๆทุกอาทิตย์ สำหรับ live event ครั้งแรกของ Sonori-kaะ
ที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้นในอีกไม่กี่ เดือนข้างหน้านี้!

Week #5

Another week has passed and still interviews are on hold like many other things in Bangkok. So in the meantime we hope to arouse your curiosity introducing you to the work of some of the most interesting independent music labels born and grown in the Thai capital.

Panda Records

They guys at Panda Records definitely thought out of the box when 11 years ago they decided that a music label was not enough for supporting indie music people. What they wanted was to create a forum for independent and experimental musicians to exchange ideas and experiences. This is why Panda Records definre itself as a non profit organization that is not in it for the money, but for the fun and fulfillment creative music can bring. So::On Dry Flower

If your preferences are more for experimental folk rock then you should definitely have a look at SO::ON Dry page. They are a music label and event organizer, as well as owners and managers of one of the coolest space in Bangkok for live music show, SOL. And they definitely think in big as they are the organizer, together with Lullaby production, of Mogway concert, in Bangkok on 2 December at Moonstar Studio 1!!! Great job guys!! We have already introduced some of their artists in our wish list, so here are some more for you to listen to:

ZudRangMa Records

There’s definitely a lot to say about the project behind ZudRangMa records and that’s why we hope to meet these guys very soon!! They label is behind the highly acclaimed ‘Paradise Bangkok’ nights in Thailand & Japan, which showcase the vintage sounds of Luk Thung and Molam, alongside music from Jamaica, West Africa and the world. They have recently finished a tour across Europe and now you can find them and the best of the music that they produce and/or sell in their new shop in Sukhumvit Soi 49. Here is their youtube channel where you can spot some of their best nights in Bangkok … definitely some good vibe!!!

Smallroom

And last but not least, Smallroom Bangkok!! An institution for independent international pop music in the city, with more than 76.000 facebook fan!! Also funded in 1999 by a group of friends you can find them in Ekamai Soi 10 (and online very soon!!). In the meantime you should check their band page!!!

อีกอาทิตย์ผ่านมาและผ่านไป บทสัมภาษณ์ทุกอย่างยังหยุดนิ่งเช่นเดียวกับทุกๆสิ่งในกรุงเทพฯ เป็นเหตุมาจากสถานการ์ณปลาวาฬบุกเมือง ฉะนั้นในระหว่างนี้ เพื่อไม่ให้เกิดความสงสัย เราจึงจะมาแนะนำผลงานของค่ายเพลง independent ที่เกิดขึ้นและเติบโตในกรุงเทพมหานคร!

Panda Records

Smallroom

สุดท้ายแต่ไม่ท้ายสุด! พบกับ Smallroom! พูดได้ว่าเป็น institution ของ ดนตรีป๊อป independent แบบสากลในกรุเทพฯที่โด่งดัง การันตีโดย facebook fanpage ที่มีมากถึง 76,000 คน
Smallroom ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 42 โดยกลุ่มเพื่อน สามารถพบพวกเขาได้ที่เอกมัย ซอย10 (และในเว็บไซต์เร็วๆนี้!) ในระหว่างนี้ก็ checkout Bangpage ของพวกเขาไปพลางๆ
